Here, We will explore the Linux source code and try to understand  how the various kernel mechanism works. Readers are free to give their comments and share their knowledge. Though, I have been in embedded field, mainly linux, for around 4 years, I have never ever bother to think about how the various kernel mechanisms work. This changed when I started attending interviews where they would shoot questions at you starting from system calls to how signals work. This evoked interest in me to understand how the various kernel mechanisms work.
